Cross-Department Exchange to Win with Synergy
On the afternoon of 24 May, the staff meeting hosted by the Trans-department Management Committee in the North Region (hereinafter referred to as the Management Committee) was held on the operation site of Linde Gas (Yantai) Co., Ltd., attended by all the staff from the operation, sales and transportation teams. On the morning of May 25, according to the schedule of talking to employees on the Open Day of Management, each member of the Management Committee conducted a one-to-one talk to employees. It was the first time for the regional trans-department management committee within Linde REA to host such activities on site, with an aim to further promote the exchange and communication between employees and management as well as employees across departments.
Chairman of the Management Committee presided at the staff meeting, sharing the top three priorities of field air supply business in 2016, i.e. safety, productivity improvement, main focus. Following his remarks, each member of the Management Committee introduced to all the attendees the progress of the business about their production line in 2016 and the work prospects in the future in details. During the session of employee interaction, some front-line workers, including members from the sales team and shift work technicians, shared their own experience, while putting forwardpertinent suggestions to the members of the Management Committee in combination with their practical work. In spite of a short time for interaction and exchange, the vibrant and upbeat mental attitude of the employees from Linde Yantai made all the attendees feel the passion and vitality of this young company.
On 25 May, the Open Day of the Management Committee, the general manager of Linde Yantai arranged an individual office for each member of the Management Committee to ensure the privacy of the talk with employees. A total of 12 employees had an individual talk with the members of the Management Committee, conducting a deep exchange with the management on the development of individual career, improvement of professional technical capacity, cultivation of integrated abilities, customer development and customer experience, cooperation of internal processes, and several other aspects.
Through the down-to-earth communication and exchange at the staff meeting and on the Open Day of Management, the employees can not only be fully aware of the strategic direction and implementation progress of the business development of each production line in the North region, allowing them to closely link their daily work with the performance indicators of Linde, but also have a deep understanding of the work in various business lines, further promote the exchange, communication and coordination among different departments, and stay together and go all out to make a contribution to the bright future of Linde REA.
