In the end of 2015, Linde entered into a contract with Stora Enso (Guangxi) Pulp Paper Co., Ltd., with contract value approaching RMB one million Yuan. In this project, Linde applied the technology based on carbon dioxide PH adjustment and buffering and the related equipment in its paper-making production line, so as to achieve a breakthrough throughout China's paper industry in gas applications, which is the first time in this industry in China.
For pulp and paper industry, Linde technology provides modern environmentally friendly production processes that can improve productivity and performance. With extensive knowledge and experience in gas-based solutions, Linde Gas is distinguished for its unique advanced technology in paper-making, pulping and chemical recycling. Linde experts work closely with customers in Research and Development, production and operation management to implement customized solution, improve overall economic efficiency of plant and minimize environmental impact.
To enhance alkaline or buffering capacity in papermaking process, further improve the performance and quality of paper products, and reduce the consumption of raw materials and energy in paper and pulp production process, stabilization and adjustment of PH value is very crucial. Linde’s carbon dioxide-based application technology, ADALKA™ and ACTICO™ can play a key role in pulp and paper-making process.
Stora Enso (Guangxi) Pulp Paper Co., Ltd. is an integrated forest, pulp and paper project with the largest single investment of the Swedish-Finnish forest industry giant - Stora Enso Group in the history of Northern Europe and China, with a total of over RMB 16 billion Yuan investment. The project is designed to realize output of 900,000 tons pulp and 900,000 tons cardboard on a yearly basis after it is completed. It will generate significant economic benefit in local area while creating a better and more environmentally friendly paper industry chain, to bring about a good demonstration effect to the domestic paper industry.
In addition to carbon dioxide application technology, Linde is also noted for its pure oxygen’s application technology in pulp delignification process and paper-making sewage treatment process. The contract between Linde and Stora Enso (Guangxi) Pulp Paper Co., Ltd. will help promote Linde application technology in all round manner in the domestic paper industry and lay a solid foundation for a greater market share.
